The Strait of Georgia Also known as the Georgia Strait and the Gulf of Georgia, this 150 mi (250 km) strait reaches from Vancouver Island in Canada to the intersection of the Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca off of mainland Washington. The Strait of Georgia is a widely known scuba diving location.
